The Caminito del Rey route is one of the most famous in the province of Malaga, but also in all of Spain. You will be able to see one of the most spectacular landscapes of the Sierra de Málaga, with steep walls and considerable height. The Guadalhorce River runs through this area after passing through the El Chorro, Guadalteba and Gaitanejo reservoirs.
What is the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes?
The place where the Caminito del Rey is located is a canyon excavated by the Guadalhorce river near Álora. At some points it is only 10 meters wide and 700 meters deep.
The Caminito del Rey can be accessed from Ardales or from Álora
