The Solheim Cup combines the tradition and prestige of the game of golf with the passion of playing for a country and a continent. This biennial transatlantic team match-play competition features the top 12 European players from the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the top 12 American players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
Held every two years, the event has become the most coveted trophy in the women's professional golf team competition; some of the most memorable moments in the sport occurred during past Solheim Cups and spots on the European and US teams are highly sought after by players from both organizations.
